Poems from Jim F McDonald
I'm an over weight disabled carpenter turned writer with two adult sons. I raised my sons with help from my mom andcwhat evercwoman in my life after their mom left us. Life did tend to get better after I quit drinking and drugging, in their mid teens.
My abilty to work an eight hour day has gone by the the wayside, because of all the smoke I put in my body. Presently, I live on a houseboat in Southern Maryland and some call me the houseboat poet. That was coined by my publisher J2B Publishing LLC.
I have published one book of poetry, Twight to Son Shine, and another, Life Changes, is to follow on September 1, 2017. I also write short stories and am writing my first novel.

a month has gone by
she's still gone a way
not a trace nor a lie
it hurts less everyday
no call note or knock
not a sound she gave
she left...
